(NEW YORK) — Gotti isn’t about to take those bad reviews lying down.
The biopic about notorious mobster John Gotti, starring John Travolta in the title role, is hitting back at its critics via its official Twitter page.
The Gotti Twitter account tweeted a new video promo for the film, which includes the message, “Audiences loved Gotti. Critics put out the hit. Who would you trust more? Yourself or a troll behind a keyboard?”
The video was posted along with the caption, “Audiences loved Gotti but critics don’t want you to see it…The question is why??? Trust the people and see it for yourself!”
In another tweet, the account posted a video that included positive fan reactions, with the caption, “Hear it from the PEOPLE!”
Gotti received a zero percent score on Rotten Tomatoes from critics following its Friday release, but its audience score on the site is at 74 percent. The film only made $1.6 million in its opening weekend.
