Line judge Jeff Seeman was suspended two games for swearing at Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride, while referee Adrian Hill received a one-game suspension for yelling and gesturing at Minnesota Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson. The officials union says the penalties go beyond appropriate punishment and are inconsistent with past discipline. The league says smart basketballs with Bluetooth sensors will collect data that could eventually help with real-time officiating decisions.
