Pierce County, Washington deputies say a 32-year-old man threatened his parents with a running chainsaw Saturday in Roy, Washington, chasing his father around their yard before leaping into a backyard pond.
He was taken to a hospital for mental health treatment, and the family received support resources.
Detectives have not decided whether criminal charges will follow.
