Friday is the Wine & Beer walk happening on Main Street Scotland from 6-8 p.m. Come to the Rec Bar to register, cost is $20 per person. There are 9 participating businesses this year. The weather should be great for walking the streets. Hope to see you there.
Saturday night Kaylor businessmen will hold their turkey drawing at 9 p.m. at Pep’s Pub. See if your name will be drawn for a turkey.
Sunday Fellowship Baptist Church will host Fall Sing For All starting at 2 p.m. Alan Ward of Viborg will direct the singing. All are invited to attend.
Sunday is the Olivet Christian Church’s 14th annual chili cookoff. It will be held at the Menno gym at 5 p.m. This year’s guest speaker is Joel Westra. Sample chili as well as other soups. Be a part of the cookoff and bring your prize winning chili. There will also be a fun auction.
Tuesday the Region 1 Honor Band concert will be at 7 p.m. in the Scotland gym. Students from around the area will be practicing all day and present their concert that evening. Come and enjoy some instrumental music.
Thursday is Thanksgiving. Scotland will be serving up a free thanksgiving meal at noon in the city hall. Anyone who would like to attend is welcome. If you would like to contribute by bringing a salad or dessert, that is more than welcomed.
Friday is Black Friday and Saturday is Small Business Saturday. The businesses in Scotland will have all kinds of great deals to help with your Christmas shopping. Head to Scotland for your unique Christmas gifts this year.
