(NEW YORK) — Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame is now the second-highest-grossing film globally of all time. In just 11 days, it’s earned $2.188 billion worldwide, bumping Titanic out of the number-two spot. It took the current highest-grossing film of all-time, Avatar, 47 days to reach Endgame‘s current global earnings benchmark.
The latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe also delivered an estimated $145.8 million domestically in its second weekend in theaters. That’s just a few million shy of the record-breaking $149.2 million Star Wars: The Force Awakens amassed in its second weekend, meaning there’s a very good chance Avengers: Endgame will match or beat that number when the final box office figures are released Monday. The movie’s total domestic gross now stands at just under $620 million.
Elsewhere, The Intruder — the thriller starring Michael Ealy, Meagan Good and Dennis Quaid — topped all newcomers, finishing in second place with an estimated $11 million.
The comedy Long Shot, starring Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron, finished on the low-end of expectations, delivering an estimated $10 million for a third-place debut. UglyDolls, the animated musical featuring the voice of Kelly Clarkson, among others, also disappointed with and estimated 8.5 million fourth-place debut.
Rounding out the top five was Disney/Marvel’s Captain Marvel, delivering an estimated $4.2 million here in the states and $1.2 million overseas, bringing its worldwide tally to $1.12 billion.
This week’s fourth and final debut, El Chicano, starring Raúl Castillo, Aimee Garcia and George Lopez, took in $700,432 from 605 theaters, for an 11th-place finish.
