(NEW YORK) — The Currys are taking over Thursday-night TV.
Ayesha Curry and her basketball star husband, Stephen Curry, both have new competition shows debuting Thursday on ABC: Ayesha’s Family Food Fight and Steph’s mini-golf-themed Holey Moley.
Ayesha describes the moment they found out both of their shows would be paired up: “I got the call and they were like, ‘So guess what? Your shows are airing on the same night! And back to back!’ We were like, ‘Whaaaat?’ It took me a minute to process.”
Ayesha serves as host and judge of Family Food Fight, which features eight families of various cultures competing in culinary challenges to win a $100,000 prize, as judged by Ayesha, and chefs and restaurateurs Cat Cora and Graham Elliot.
Ayesha says she and Stephen, who have three kids together, plan on having family viewing parties for their two shows. And while the Currys aren’t competing, Ayesha knows exactly which famous family she’d want to challenge, if given the chance.
“I’m just gonna throw it out there: We would go head to head with John Legend, Chrissy Teigen. Why not just address the elephant in the room?” she says.
“We would definitely win. No I’m just joking. I’m just kidding…I’m not kidding,” Ayesha laughs.
Holey Moley airs at 8 p.m. ET, followed by Family Food Fight at 9 p.m., both on ABC.
