(LOS ANGELES) — More praise for Crazy Rich Asians is on the way.
The hit movie comedy — the first Asian-American-led studio release since 1993’s Joy Luck Club and starring Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Awkwafina, Kris Aquino, Ken Jeong and Michelle Yeoh — will be honored at the 22nd annual Hollywood Film Awards next month with the Hollywood Breakout Ensemble Award.
Released August 15, Crazy Rich Asians has so far earned $171.4 million domestically and $230.2 million worldwide.
Also being recognized at the event are Amandla Stenberg, who’ll receive the Hollywood Breakout Performance Actress Award for The Hate U Give, and John David Washington, who will get the Hollywood Breakout Performance Actor Award for his role in BlacKkKlansman.
Previously announced honorees include Nicole Kidman, Timothee Chalamet and Rachel Weisz.
The Hollywood Film Awards will take place on Sunday, November 4 at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
