
MITCHELL, S.D. – Dakota Wesleyan rolled to a 37-3 victory over Briar Cliff on Saturday at Joe Quintal Field in Mitchell.
The Tigers scored three touchdowns in the first quarter to take a 21-0 lead. Quarterback Jed Jenson threw touchdown passes of 43 and 35 yards to Caleb Kilbride and added a 19-yard touchdown pass to Sean DeBlieck.
Dakota Wesleyan added 16 points in the third quarter. Landon Iverson broke loose for a 75-yard touchdown run, Nate Wilber made a 22-yard field goal and Jenson scored on a 4-yard run.
Jenson completed 11 of 22 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 26 yards and another score. Iverson led the Tigers with 129 rushing yards on 13 carries.
Dakota Wesleyan finished with 423 yards of total offense, including 241 passing and 182 rushing.
The Tigers improved to 3-1 overall and 3-0 in GPAC play, while Briar Cliff fell to 0-4 and 0-3.
