In Orange County, Florida, a driver was caught speeding at 129 mph, flying past a deputy on patrol. That’s 60 mph over the speed limit, making it one of the fastest traffic stops in the area’s history.
To make things worse, the roads were foggy and slick, meaning visibility was low and stopping quickly would have been dangerous, especially at that speed.
The driver didn’t crash, but they still got two citations and will have to face a judge.
The local sheriff is now pushing for a new “super speeder law” that would increase fines and even allow police to seize cars from extreme speeders.
