After stunning audiences as King T’Challa in Black Panther and later in Avengers: Infinity War, Chadwick Boseman has set his next film.
STX Films has announced the superhero actor will produce and star in the upcoming action thriller 17 Bridges. The film follows a disgraced NYPD detective, played by Boseman, who gets a shot at redemption after being called to help in a citywide manhunt for a cop killer.
Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo will produce the project with Brian Kirkset to direct.
This is the latest project for Boseman, who is also producing the film adaptation of The Stars in My Soul, a memoir co-written by Hakeem Oluseyi about his life. He’s also set to star in the upcoming thriller Expatriate, which will be directed by Oscar-winner Barry Jenkins.
17 Bridges starts production in September.
