LOS ANGELES — Sony Pictures has moved Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood up a couple of weeks, from August 9, 2019 to July 26, 2019, according to Variety.
The trade speculates the change was made to avoid controversy over the release coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Charles Manson murders, on which the film is based.
Once again, Oscar winner Tarantino has assembled a galaxy of stars for his latest feature, including his Django Unchained co-star Leonardo DiCaprio, and his Inglorious Basterd lead Brad Pitt, as well as Margot Robbie, Timothy Olyphant, Luke Perry, Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning and Al Pacino.
