ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB/Gray News) – A high school student in Louisiana is being recognized not only for her academic achievements but for also having perfect attendance.
Rylee Beaudion was challenged by her principal at just 4 years old to keep her perfect attendance going, and her senior year at Alexandria Senior High School marked 14 years of doing just that.
Beaudion also maintained a GPA of 4.3 and received her Associate of Arts degree only two days after graduating high school this year.
“I was like, I’m almost there and I was able to push through because I knew how important my education was,” she said.
Additionally, Beaudion was the captain of the dance team at Alexandria High and served on the student council.
“It has had a positive impact on her education, being at school, learning every day,” her mother, Renisha Beaudion, said. “She maintained high scholastic achievement. She’s achieved so many scholarships as a result of her academic excellence.”
Rylee Beaudion plans on attending Grambling State University, where she hopes to continue her perfect attendance while studying education and dance.
