Hometown Happenings – July 1st, 2024

Hospital/Clinic
On behalf of Platte Health Center Avera, they would like to remind our community that General Surgeon, Dr. Reynolds, will be on site this month. MRI will be there on Monday mornings and Echo will be available Monday and Wednesday mornings this month. Platte Health Center would also like to let the community know that they have multiple job opportunities available at this time. Log onto Avera.org and search careers to see if there is something that would work for you. They would also like to remind their patients that the ER entrance is still available using the drive through ramp.

The Platte Medical Clinic would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding during our construction remodel. They are excited to have their main entrance up and running and for you all to see the progress that is being made to make your experience smoother when you come to visit. Please remember that you can still access the ER entrance for emergencies. They are also excited to offer new counseling services, provided by Dr. Gerlach. Having a therapist available on site has been a great addition to the facility so they can provide and contribute to mental health awareness. Dr. Sheffield will also be starting her practice on July 8th. If you would like to get scheduled for a clinic visit with Dr. Gerlach or Dr. Sheffield, please give them a call at 605-337-1501.
